With the prevalence of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) ranging from 2-17%, depending on levels of severity being studied, there is a significant likelihood that there are substantial numbers of individuals with IDD within your community of service. As you know, this population has some unique patterns of risks and conditions and faces a number of challenges to their health, well-being, and quality of life.
With this in mind, we have taken the initiative to create a Clinical Brief newsletter where we review the medical and other professional literature and briefly summarize the insights and best practices for several relevant issues or topics.
